How to use
Choose the images you want to make transparent (multiple allowed). The first one appears as a preview with the corner color auto-selected.
If the wrong color got picked, click the correct one directly in the preview.
Adjust "Tolerance" (how close a color counts as background) and "Edge softness" (how smooth the cutout edge is).
For one image, save the preview as PNG; for several, apply the same settings to all and download a ZIP.
No AI — just a color-distance calculation
This tool makes pixels transparent based purely on how close their color is to the one you picked — it doesn't recognize subjects the way an AI background-removal model does. It works best on solid, fairly uniform backgrounds: product photos on white, flat-color logos, or a single frame from green-screen footage.
For cutting a person or object out of a complex background (scenery, patterns, gradients), this approach won't work well — you'd need photo-editing software with smarter subject detection instead.
What "Tolerance" and "Edge softness" do
Tolerance sets how far a color can differ from your pick and still count as background. Too low, and background variations (like a soft shadow) won't clear; too high, and parts of your subject may vanish too. Edge softness blends the transition between transparent and opaque so edges don't look jagged. Adjust both while watching the live preview.

Is this the same as AI background removal?
No, it's a different feature. It only makes pixels near one chosen color transparent; it doesn't recognize subjects the way an AI model would. It's suited to solid, uniform backgrounds and can't automatically cut a subject out of a complex scene.
I selected multiple files, but only the first one shows a preview.
That's by design. Only the first file gets a preview and color-pick — whatever color, tolerance, and softness you set there is applied to every other file too. This is meant for batches shot on the same background (like a set of product photos). If your images have different backgrounds, process them one at a time instead.
My images have slightly different background shades.
The same settings (color and tolerance) apply to every file in the batch, so shade variation across images can leave some only partly transparent. Try widening the tolerance, or process very different-colored images separately.
Part of my subject is disappearing too.
This happens when the subject's color is close to the background color. Try lowering the tolerance, or click a different spot (like the center of the background) to re-pick the target color.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Color detection, transparency, and saving all happen entirely in your browser.
