✒️Image to SVG Converter

Convert an image into SVG (vector) format. Works best on logos and icons with clean, simple shapes — not photos.

Your images are never sent to a server (processed in your browser)

How to use

  1. Choose the image you want to vectorize (logos and icons with clean edges work best).
  2. Pick a style and number of colors.
  3. Press "Convert to SVG" to see the original and converted version side by side.
  4. Press "Download SVG" to save.

Why logos work better than photos

SVG records color boundaries as lines and shapes rather than pixels. This tool reduces your image to a set number of colors, then traces the outline of each same-colored region into an SVG path. A logo or icon with few colors and clean edges traces into a small, clean SVG; a photo with lots of continuous color and gradients tends to produce a messy tangle of outlines instead.

The big win of SVG: it stays crisp at any size — the same file works from a business card up to a billboard.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser.
Can I convert a photo?
Technically yes, but photos have continuous color and lots of gradients, so they tend to come out as a mess of fine outlines rather than a clean vector. This tool is best suited to logos, icons, and illustrations with few colors.
The result looks jagged or rough.
Try reducing the number of colors, or switch to the "Crisper edges" style. If you want more detail retained instead, try "More detail" with a higher color count.
Is this the same as the auto-trace feature in professional software like Illustrator?
The idea is similar, but this tool offers far less fine control. Think of it as a quick, convenient way to vectorize something without leaving your browser.
